The IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Region 7 is pleased to present the Grid Modernization Workshop for Utilities 2019, Thursday-Friday, November 21-22, 2019 in Edmonton. The workshop will be hosted by ATCO Electric at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) Canada.
The focus of the workshop will be on Electric Power Utilities’ experiences, challenges, strategies and opportunities. The main highlights are:

Day 2, Fri Nov. 22, 09:15-11:15 | Executive Meeting for sponsors’ executives |
On November 21, the Workshop features presentations and a panel session with speakers and participants from major utilities. On November 22, the Workshop features field tours at NAIT. Both the Workshop and the tours are open to all registrants.
On November 22, an Executive Meeting, open to sponsors’ executives, will be held to discuss grid modernization challenges, experiences, future plans, and broad strategies.Managers, engineers and other professionals from utilities are most welcome and encouraged to attend the Workshop to lean about the current state-of-the-art in grid modernization, and to network with their peers.

Event Registration
Companies that wish to support the event as patrons are required to pay $1,000 to help cover the basic cost of the event.
