SPEAKER’s BIOs:

Jay Wilson is the Manager of Risk Mitigation Programs and Assurance at the Canadian Electricity Association, where he leads CEA’s Sustainability, Occupational Health and Safety and Standards Management programs and advises on environmental regulations.

Josh Brown graduated from McMaster University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Started working at Hydro One Networks in 2008 and has spent time in Transmission Station Design, Project Engineering, Field P&C, Transmission Planning and Project Management. Current role at Hydro One is Project Manager for major capital projects (TX Stations and Lines) and generation connections. Currently lives in Burlington ON with wife Michelle and his two daughters.

Mr. Cheong Siew, P.Eng., is the Manager of Distribution Automation and Strategic Planning in BC Hydro. He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is a member of APEGBC and IEEE Power Engineering Society. Mr. Siew has 12 years of experience in system planning and 16 years of experience in distribution planning. His work includes asset management strategies and implementation, reliability, risk, network transmission planning, and distribution planning assessments. He authored and co-authored dozens of technical publications or guidelines for BC Hydro, CEA, IEEE, EPRI, and other international organizations.
