The IEEE PES Bangladesh Chapter, with support from IEEE Bangladesh Section, arranged the IEEE PES distinguished lecture program in December 2017, where Professor Saifur Rahman from the Virginia Tech Advanced Research Institute served as the DL.

PES Women in Power (WiP) fosters a more diverse leadership by supporting the career advancement, networking and education of women in the energy industry.

Since its inception in 2010, IEEE Smart Village (ISV) and the local entrepreneurs it supports have empowered more than 70,000 people in some of the world’s most remote and marginalized communities.

In order to assist you in preparing stronger IEEE Fellow Nomination packages that will go through PES, the Power & Energy Society has formed the Fellow Nomination Resource Committee.

The first 2018 PES Governing Board, together with the LRP meeting, was held Jan. 11-12 in Florida, where various governance and strategic aspects of PES, including finances, were discussed.
