IEEE Kerala Section PES Chapter organized a series of innovative activities during Sept-Dec 2017

The IEEE PES Membership Development Committee is responsible to identify new benefits, new marketing campaigns, support and run PES activities on all IEEE Regions.

Mr. Rodriguez delivered a 3-day tutorial on the topic of “Distribution and Power transformers up to 30MVA” to Norther Canada Section PES/IAS Jt. Chapter on Sept. 27-29, 2017.

The role of WSPCC is to coordinate wind and solar activities within PES and ensure that critical issues are addressed while minimizing overlap, and to coordinate PES work with relevant industry groups.

IEEE Region 7 (R7) represents the Canadian PES chapters. The Chapter Representatives for Canada-East is Branislav Djokic and for Canada-West is Jahangir Khan. Mazana Armstrong is the Region Representative for R7.

As always, the IEEE PES Region 4 was very busy over the summer, whether it be formal technical sessions or enjoying the great outdoors with a little bit of learning to go with it.

I am very glad to inform you that IEEE PES continues to grow with an impressive rate, 7.4% in 2017, representing 40% of the overall IEEE growth. PES is presently the second largest IEEE society.
