In the Voice of Governing Board Section, we are honored to present a very interesting article “Education for All” written by Dr. Babak Enayati, IEEE PES Vice President of Education. In this article, he shared the steps taken by IEEE PES in support of some major technical aspects through PES University and the PES Resource Center. He mentioned various topics of educational materials that are available at PES University. He emphasized the importance of climate change and limiting global warming. Finally he also stated about the condition-based asset management techniques.

Recently the Final Round of the first Humanitarian Technology Project Design Competition (HTPDC 2021) was organized by the PES humanitarian activity committee (PES-HAC). In this issue, we covered the updates of the last three local round competitions and the two days long final round competition. In the final round, past, present and future (president-elect) PES presidents were present along with other distinguished speakers and guests. The article also includes the final results.

We are presenting an update from the PES Distinguished Lecture (DL) Program. IEEE PES Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RSET), SB Chapter along with PES Kerala Chapter hosted a DL by Dr. Julio Romero Aguero, PES Vice President of Membership and Image on “Integration of Distributed Energy Resources and Electric Transportation in Distribution Systems”.

We received detailed updates from different IEEE student branches (SB), PES chapters and PES SB chapters regarding the events organized during the PES Day 2021. The events were mainly virtual technical webinars. It is really great to see that many renowned speakers of PES managed their valuable time to offer talks in these online PES Day events. In this issue, we covered some of these events and we will be regularly covering PES Day events in upcoming issues of PES Enews. If you have not yet submitted the article describing the PES-Day event, please submit the articles as early as possible.

A Tech-Talk series was organized by the BUET SB and BUET PES SB Chapter where six renowned speakers delivered separate webinars on the theme of PES DAY 2021 “Clean Energy Revolution” and a large number of participants joined from different countries. University of Manchester (UoM) PES SB chapter and PES WiP UK & Ireland chapter hosted a webinar on ‘Towards a Sustainable Energy Future’ as a part of PES Day 2021 celebrations where three renowned female speakers joined. The IEEE PES DAY 2021 Ambassador’s Team UET, Taxila organized a series of webinars/training covering major areas of power and energy during the PES Day 2021. Among those events, more than ten are presented in this article. In PES Day 2021, IEEE UKM SB and UKM PES SB chapter organized a series of webinars by four renowned speakers.

IEEE PES Kerala Chapter hosted various events in the month of April as an effort of helping its members to absorb the complete essence of their membership. IEEE PES Kerala Chapter in collaboration with PES YP Kerala, and IEEE SB GECT conducted an E-panel discussion on “Clean Energy Project Development and the Opportunities in IEEE”. The PES GECT SB Chapter also organized a webinar on energy neutral buildings, green-patch an informative session and a contest “RESOLVE”.

I humbly request PES volunteers to submit articles in PES Enews containing a comprehensive description with relevant photographs (videos/links) of PES related activities/events/webinars/initiatives/achievements.
