SB Chapter Update: Texas A&M PES-IAS-PELS Joint SB Chapter
The TEXAS A&M IEEE PES-IAS-PELS Joint Student Chapter was established in 1998. The purposes of the Society are to promote close cooperation and exchange of technical information among the electrical engineering students and the industrial and research organizations. The organization will hold meetings for the presentation and discussion of papers, conduct seminars to provide for the needs of the student body with extensive knowledge in the fields of engineering research and various industrial applications of power engineering.
In 2019, we organized the 3rd IEEE Texas Power and Energy Conference (TPEC) at Texas A&M campus, College Station, Texas, USA. This conference which is a totally student-led conference brought together scholars and professionals from more than 20 countries to represent and discuss the lasted technological development and challenges in power and energy industry. All the papers presented are included in the conference proceedings published through IEEEXplore.
Moreover, the electrical industries had the opportunity to showcase their latest products to the conference participants. Some of the companies presented their products are among: Manitoba Hydro International; Plexim electrical engineering software; Tektronix; Schneider engineering.
