The fourth 2020 IEEE PES Global Student Congress is going to be held on 1-2 and 8-9 of August 2020. For the first time it will be a full virtual congress. The PES Global Student Congress is the flagship leadership biennial event organized by the IEEE PES to bring together the world’s brightest student leaders. The event provides a world-class stage for PES student leaders to network amongst each other, to connect with the high-level PES leaders, to enhance their soft skills, as well as get trained on leading their student branch chapters to success.

The first IEEE PES Global Student Congress at Ankara, Turkey

The Second IEEE PES Global Student Congress at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The location and number of participants of the previous three IEEE PES Global Student Congresses are:

  • The first IEEE PES Student Congress was held at METU, Ankara, Turkey on 29-31 August 2014 where 45 students joined from 20 different countries.
  • The Second one was held at the RHR Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 15-17 August 2016 where 68 students joined from 24 different countries.
  • The 3rd IEEE PES Global Student Congress was held at Sao Bernardo do Campo, Sao Paulo, Brazil on August 24-27, 2018. It was organized by PES South Brazil Section Chapter. In the third edition, 133 students from 33 different countries attended.
