In El Salvador, a webinar was held in commemoration of the IEEE PES DAY 2020 entitled “Costa Rica and its experience in the integration of renewable energy”, on Thursday April 30 at 5 pm El Salvador time through the Webex platform Meeting. The speaker of the event was Juan Carlos Montero, Vice-President Membership and Image of IEEE PES and President-Elect of IEEE CAPANA [IEEE CAPANA represents the Central American and Panama Council of the IEEE, it is geographically made up of the countries of Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama].

The activity was jointly organized by YP members, WIE & WiP members, Student Branch members and by five chapters of PES students in El Salvador: University of El Salvador (UES), Don Bosco University (UDB), José Simeón Cañas Central American University (UCA), Polytechnic University of El Salvador (UPES) and University of Sonsonate (USO). During the activity, approximately 45 attendees participated, both students and professionals interested in renewable energy throughout Latin America.
