The mission of the Power and Energy Society is, “to be the leading provider of scientific and engineering information on electric power and energy for the betterment of society and the preferred development source for members”. In keeping with our mission, the Society is pleased to launch PES University.

The University offers hundreds of technical courses developed by highly respected experts. These courses enable PES to provide educational credits and support continuous learning for its members. Offerings through the University include:

• Tutorials that are geared toward experienced power engineering professionals and provide in-depth knowledge on a wide array of engineering topics. These programs are offeredin-person (half-day or full-day conference presentations) or Web-based (approximately 80 minutes).
• Webinars for engineers, policy makers, researchers, and individuals interested in the power industry. Webinars topics range from practitioner led technical presentations to discussions on recent research initiatives. Each webinar is 60 minutes in length.
• Plain Talks provide overviews of technical aspects of the industry for power professionals and engineers new to the field.

PES University is just one of the many ways the Society supports its members. I encourage you to take advantage of this valuable resource.
