Merging History with the Life of a Young Professional

Around the globe, the power and energy industry has dedicated historical sites that hold special meaning to many professionals. You can find a list of 177 IEEE historical sites around the world by visiting

As part of the contest, IEEE members are challenged to visit as many of these “milestone” historical sites as possible and take a selfie with the site. We are calling it the “Milestelfies” photo contest! Once you get the selfie, you will need to then share it via Twitter and a line about the milestone itself. Be sure to use hashtag #Milestelfie in the tweet and tag @IEEEPESYP. Simple! The contest starts on May 1, 2017 and ends September 15, 2017. For the individual who gets the most “Milestelfies,” the grand prize will be an Apple Watch Series 2 followed by IEEE PES merchandise runner-up prizes.
