Zach’s desire to know more about the energy grid and the world around him spurred him to pursue electrical engineering.  He is excited to work in power engineering because it drives forward human accomplishments and enables amazing ideas to come to life.

S&C Electric Company is a global provider of equipment and services for
electric power systems. The Chicago-based company designs and manufactures switching and protection products for electric power transmission and distribution.   They are a Presidential Support of the IEEE PES Scholarship Plus Initiative with their funding being used to support the IEEE PES Scholarship Plus John W. Estey Outstanding Scholar Award.

PES Careers

PES-Careers (www.pes-careers.org) is a complimentary online resource that connects students seeking career experiences with industry for up to one year after graduation.  Its mission is to connect Power and Energy Engineering Students with their future employers.

There are over 2,200 students and 340 employers registered.   It’s a great tool for a student to use to connect with employers and for employers to identify potential employees.
