PES DAY 2020: Celebrations Postponed

After careful considerations and in the light of the Global Health crisis, IEEE PES Leadership Team announced to Postpone PES DAY celebrations in the month of April. This was a difficult decision, however, the safety and well-being of our volunteers and ambassador is of paramount importance to IEEE PES & IEEE PES DAY. However, the PES Leadership team extended support to proceed with Online PES DAY Educational & Technical Activities.
 Face to face activities scheduled on  April has been postponed- individuals are encouraged to have Online Educational activities.

Below are the proposed protocols of IEEE PES & PES DAY Leadership Team

1)Following the declaration and announcement by the WHO of COVID-19 as a Pandemic local, regional, national and international bodies have moved to restrict the travel and mass gatherings.

2) However, We encourage our Volunteers to participate in PES DAY YP CEP Webinars and organize PES DAY Educational Online Activities at Chapters to educate the community.

3)PES DAY Celebrations are Postponed in April and further notice on celebrations will be announced considering the situation.

4)All PES DAY Ambassadors/PES Volunteers/IEEE Members, and other volunteers supporting PES DAY, will have to restrict the Gatherings and conducting in-person PES DAY Activities to limit the spread of Virus.

5)Please do not hold cake cutting ceremonies or celebrations of any kind 

6)Stay aware of the latest information on the COVID-19 outbreak, available on the WHO website and through your national and local public health authority. Take care of your health and protect others by following the WHO Protocol.
