Professor William Ward, from Rutgers University, came to BRHS to talk about his is work with GFPs, or Green Flourescent Proteins. Much of his research has been patented, and he has also developed a new method of purifying proteins known as three-phase partitioning (TPP).

Professor Ward explains how his three-phase partitioning technique to purify proteins works.

Professor Ward shows a visual depiction of what the flourescent proteins, he utilizes, looks like.

Club member David Zhuang inspects a 3d model of the fluorescent proteins used by Professor Ward.
