• Seminar was well received. Mostly all good comments. Still waiting on Zachary’s payment for the seminar.

Community Service Projects: John Vara

• ACAAL is getting geared up for next year’s robotics competition. Will be looking to support them through purchase of T-Shirts and possibly supporting the purchase of construction material for robotics.

• Conversation on getting the Engineering Student body at WT involved in ACAAL for support.

 

Student Liaisons: Allison Cameron / Nicholas Aguilera

• An Electrical Engineering club was initiated at WT. Held first meeting. Looking ahead to possibly creating an IEEE student chapter.

 

 

Old business

• Steve Hudson, Dustin Graham, and Jim Gilmer are appointed to the Nominating Committee for IEEE elections.
• The nominating committee needs to be announced at the seminar.
• At the November meeting, the nominees need to be announced.
• Francis Dennis is a nominee for 1^st Year Director and Michael Jaco is a nominee for 2^nd Year Director.

 

New business

• Steve Hudson had discussions with some Pantex Engineer’s who expressed their issues about making it to local meetings during the lunch hour. They suggested we have meetings out at Pantex sometime to include some of the Pantex memebers.
• The Board developed some compromises by suggesting either early morning breakfast meetings. Or having meetings on Friday’s that Pantex Engineers have off.
• A social meeting is slated for December 8^th. Meeting speaker is undefined at this point.
