Welcome to the Northern Canada
Joint Chapter of the IEEE IAS and PES Societies
Our IEEE Chapter is a member of the IEEE Northern Canada Section (NCS) that stewards to Northern Alberta, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. IEEE NCS is a Section of the broader IEEE Canada, known as IEEE Region 7 (R7).
This Chapter was formally sanctioned on February 2, 1984, and originally known as the IEEE Northern Canada Section – Power and Energy Society (PES). On May 7, 1987, IEEE NCS – PES joined with the Industry Applications Society (IAS). From that point onward, we have become known as IEEE NCS – PES/IAS Joint Chapter.
This Chapter is organized and run by volunteers. If you would like to get involved, we may have an open position that suits you well.
