UofM IEEE Chapter Places First In Software Competition at 2017 SoutheastCon

Dr. Aaron Robinson, Associate Professor, Electrical & Computer Engineering, and eight students from UofM’s IEEE student chapter attended SoutheastCon, the annual IEEE Region 3 Technical, Professional, and Student Conference. IEEE is the world’s largest technical and professional organization for the advancement of technology.

Students and their competitions included: Jarrett Anderson, Robot team; Grayson Cupit, Robot team; Preston Darling, Robot team; James Palmer, Robot team; Bassam Bahhur, Software & Ethics team; Will Blankenship, Software & Ethics team; Brandon Coldicott, Software team; Bryan Fuller, Ethics team.

Due to an error in the final scoring process, the results were wrongly reported at the SoutheastCon awards ceremony. But we are excited to announce the software team won first place! Competition organizers contacted Herff and came to campus to make the award presentation.
