EPSSCOM 2021

IEEE PES Malaysia Chapter invites you to join the Electrical Power System Simulation Competition 2021 (EPSSCom 2021). The competition is jointly organized with CIRED Malaysia. The aim of the competition is to provide a platform for undergraduate electrical engineering students to present their simulation works and share experiences and ideas in power and energy engineering with industrial experts and academic scholars.

COMPETITION DATES AND FORMAT

Important Dates:

1. Online Registration : 2 August – 14 September 2021 22 September 2021
2. Online Briefing: 18 September 2021 25 September 2021
3. Report Submission: before 25 November 2021
4. Online Presentation: 18 December 2021

Competition Format:

– During this briefing, students will be given the project assignment which consists of solving a practical power system problem and preparing a report on the approaches taken.
– The report template and formatting will be given by the organizer after the briefing session.
– The report needs to be submitted with a 10 mins video presentation.
– Online project presentation will be carried out in front of industry and academia judges.

COMPETITION RULES AND REGISTRATION

Competition Rules:

Free participation.
No of student per group: 3-5 students (active EEE undergraduate students).
At least one of the group members is an IEEE PES Student member.
Each group must have 1 advisor (among the lecturers).
Fully online concept of event.
