The problem statement for the competition is described below. The students can form a group of
two and proceed with registration.
Problem Statement: Land Use Land Cover classification using Machine Learning
Tasks:
1. Satellite Data Acquisition (Can be collected from https://earthexplorer.usgs.gov/)
2. Evaluate the different machine learning models to classify the Region of Interest (ROI)
3. The ROI needs to be classified in >=10 and <=15 number of classes.
4. Performance Analysis (Kappa Index, Overall accuracy)
5. Choose the Best classifier from the performance Analysis matrix
6. Change detection of the same ROI over the period from 1995 to 2023 in an interval of 4 years
Note: The Region of Interest will be assigned after the Registration.
Prizes: First – 4000 INR, Second – 2500 INR, Third – 1500 INR
