IEEE Kingston Section History
The IEEE Kingston Section was formed on May 4, 1955 as part of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers (AIEE). During 1963, the Section became part of the IEEE Region 7 as IEEE emerged from the merger of AIEE and the Institute of Radio Engineers.
This page was initiated as part of participation in IEEE Global History Network. Members of the IEEE Kingston Section are proud of their unit and the contribution of their members since its beginnings. We are always keen to learn more about the Section’s history. If you think you can contribute to this effort, please do not hesitate to email the webmaster.
