IEEE JUST SB

In JUST, Jordan university of science and technology, there is “IEEE JUST student branch, it was established in 1996, and it was the first branch for the Organization in Jordan. Nowadays, The branch has 4 technical societies and chapters, they connect to breakthrough technical information in different technology fields and hold events and educational activities to benefit students.

  • IEEE JUST EMBS, “engineering in medicine and biology society student branch chapter”, for biomedical engineering field of interest, EMBS was the first chapter established in JUST, The EMBS field of interest is the development and application of engineering concepts and methods to biology, medicine and health sciences to provide effective solutions to biological, medical and healthcare problems.
  • IEEE JUST Computer & Information society chapter (CIS) Fields of Interest: All major areas of computing and information technology: computer hardware, software, security, AI, multimedia, IT, networking, mobile computing, and more.
  • IEEE JUST WIE,” Women in engineering affinity group”, IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is one of the largest international professional organizations dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists, and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests in a career in engineering. The mission of IEEE WIE is to facilitate the recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines globally. IEEE WIE envisions a vibrant community of IEEE women and men collectively using their diverse talents to innovate for the benefit of humanity.
  • IEEE JUST IAS “Industry applications society chapter” , the newest student chapter at IEEE JUST SB, Focuses cover the global design, development, application, and management of electrical and electronic systems, apparatuses, devices, and controls for safe, reliable, and economical processes and equipment of industrial and commercial installations. The officer and volunteer students in IEEE JUST SB now aim to increase the number of the volunteers and members, increase the number and professionalism of their activities and events and educate their students about IEEE and the latest technical advancements of technology around the globe.
