IEEE Jordan EMBS Chapter Vice Chair
Dr. AHMAD M. AL-OMARI holds senior membership in IEEE, EMBS, and CIS. He earned his B.Sc. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Yarmouk University, Irbid, Jordan, in 2004 and Served as a Teaching Assistant and Laboratory Engineer at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Yarmouk University from 2004 to 2010.
Since January 2020, he has held the position of Associate Professor with Tenure and is also recognized as an Erasmus+ Certified Trainer. In April 2020, Dr. AL-OMARI achieved the distinction of becoming the first Jordanian Nvidia Deep Learning Institute (DLI) Certified Instructor and DLI University Ambassador. Also, he is currently the academic editor of PLOS ONE and Applied Computational Intelligence and Soft Computing Journals. His academic journey includes pursuing a Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics at the University of Georgia, Athens, GA, USA—one of the oldest and most prestigious public universities in the U.S.
His diverse research interests encompass systems biology, genetic networks, deep learning, numerical methods, and applied programming.
