Invited Technical Sessions

A limited number of invited technical sessions will be held as part of the conference from 29 November to 1 December 2016. Proposals are invited for two kinds of invited sessions: Academic, and Industry. Please see descriptions and submission procedures for each of these below.

Invited Academic Sessions

These sessions are dedicated for leading academics to share their recent research outcomes with the wider audience. Academic sessions are comprised of 6 regular papers, each of which will be peer reviewed via the same process as individual technical papers and appear in the conference proceedings.

Organisers of academic sessions are requested to include the following information in their proposals:

  1. names and contact details of the session organiser(s),
  2. brief description of the topic (area) of the session, and a short statement justifying it,
  3. tentative list of papers to be included in the session (6 papers), and
  4. short abstract of each paper, names, and affiliation of the authors.

Please submit your proposals to the Invited Technical Sessions Chair, Professor Ian Petersen, or via the PaperCept submission system using the link below, by 15 April 2016 1 May 2016. A decision will be made by 29 April 2015 8 May 2015.

Invited Industry Sessions

These sessions are dedicated for practicing engineers, industry leaders and collaborators to share their experiences with the wider audience, in respect of application of smart grid technologies to power distribution networks.

Industry sessions may be comprised of regular papers, or short abstract papers, or a combination of both; a session normally comprises 6 contributions (papers). Regular papers will be peer reviewed via the same process as individual technical papers, and will appear in the conference proceedings. Short Abstract papers will require a 1-2 page abstract only, but will not be included in the conference proceedings. Both regular and abstract papers will be included in the conference technical program for presentation.

Organisers of industrial sessions are requested to include the following information in their proposals:

  1. names and contact details of the session organiser(s),
  2. brief description of the topic (area) of the session, and a short statement justifying it,
  3. tentative list and type of papers (regular or abstract) to be included in the session (maximum 6 papers), and
  4. short abstract of each paper, names, and affiliation of the authors.

Please submit your proposals to the Industry Sessions Chair, Mr. Mark Paterson, or via the PaperCept submission system using the link below, by 15 April 2016 1 May 2016. A decision will be made by 29 April 2015 8 May 2015.
