Dear Esteemed IEEE India members

Coronavirus – COVID 19 is a common threat and declared a pandemic by WHO. This cruel microbe has become a devastating crisis with the potential of mass destruction. India is still in the containment phase and it is a call to action, responsibility and time to spread precautions and stop the fear going viral. The current situation affects everyone and it demands all of us to play our part to contain this deadliest stigma to humanity. All IEEE Indian sections have canceled our face to face meetings, technical events and converted to be organized only into the virtual mode to support the Indian Government guidelines.

Our IEEE volunteers at Hyderabad in collaboration with IEEE India Council Humanitarian Activity committee started a fight against this vulnerable virus by launching an initiative called IEEE COVID MOVE ( – A dedicated website to keep you posted on whereabouts of deadly COVID in India, what to do, where to go, what to rely on and how not to panic! The website and its social campaign have reached more than 10000 people making an impact to 100s of people every day by spreading COVID related useful resources in India, information on the do’s and don’ts, curbing fake information, and saving lives. Team of dedicated volunteers turned soldiers are working day and night to keep this mission on until we all fight and win this battle together. The current website is dynamically updated as soon as information streams in.

All IEEE Sections in India have pledged their support to the current initiative. We are also seeking volunteers/interest groups to support the following –
