ISO/TC 301 Energy management and energy savings

ISO/TC 301 Energy management and energy savings

Georgia Tech is ANSI’s Technical Advisory Group Administrator.   From Deann Desai, the Chairperson of the US TAG, here is an update as of June 16th:

ISO 50004 Guidance for ISO 50001 has been completed and will be published this month

ISO 50005 Phased implementation of ISO 50001 is progressing to Draft International Standard (DIS) after the on-going zoom meetings.

ISO 50009 – the ballot and comments are closing shortly.  The US position has been determined and we are waiting to see the international results. The international comments will be resolved over Zoom – during August and September.

ISO 50049 on regional calculations has now reached the FDIS stage and I just issued that to the US TAG last night.

ISO 50010 on Net Zero – TC 301 has paused that work, as it is early in the work and they need face to face meetings.  But we are excited to have new proposals in this area we will be looking at shortly.

We have also received five other new work item proposals – which will be discussed in our next CAG meeting.

Should the E&H Committee be involved with this committee?   We will keep this question as an open question on our standing agenda.
