Conference Awards Banquet

The annual banquet will be held on Wednesday October 24th at the hotel and is included in your registration.  Additional banquet tickets can be purchased during registration.  The evening will feature cocktails and a delicious multiple course meal served to your table.  The Best Paper Award and Carnahan Cup award will be presented.  The highlight of the evening will be the Soiree Quebecoise experience, with strolling, traditional Quebec folkloric musicians as well as folk dancers.  Be sure to join the fun!

Carnahan Cup Golf Tournament – Monday, October 22, 2018

This year’s tournament will be held at Golf Des Iles Montreal, 255, Ste-Marguerite Island, Boucherville, Quebec, J4B 8R2.  Green fees of $45 CAD includes an electric cart and unlimited practice range balls.  Bring your golf clubs or rent clubs for $15 to $45.  First tee time will be at 9:00am.  All fees are the responsibility of the participant and are to be paid at the course pro shop.  Major credit cards are accepted.  Lunch can be enjoyed in the clubhouse afterwards.  The golf course is about 30 minutes from the hotel.  For more information or to inquire about transportation, contact the conference treasurer, Carol Gardner at cgardner@senstar.com

Accompanying Persons Program

On Tuesday we have scheduled the Old Montreal VIP walking tour.  We will need to depart from the hotel at 10:00am to gather at Boutique du Parvis of Notre-Dame Basilica, 110 Notre-Dame West Street which is about a five minute walk from the hotel.  The tour is two hours long and costs $49.50 CAD/person.  This exclusive tour is led by a professional guide.  There is a beverage and rest stop during the session.  The Old Montreal VIP circuit includes an interior visit of Notre-Dame Basilica, goes across the historical borough from place des Armes to place Jacques-Cartier through Notre-Dame and Saint-Paul Street and ends at Place Royale.

On Wednesday there will be a tour to the Gardens of Light Festival.  This festival is held at the Montreal Botanical Garden at 4101 Sherbrooke Street East.  We will head to this event at 10:00am and the cost is $16-$21 CAD/person.  This event is inspired by the ancient Chinese tradition.  Glittering lanterns illuminate the Chinese Garden and the eyes of thousands of visitors who come to enjoy the magical spectacle.  Transportation can be arranged depending on the level of participation.

Also available daily for those interested is the Casino de Montreal.  There is a FREE shuttle service available every hour from 12:15 p.m. (noon) until 11:15 p.m.  The departure is at the Montreal Convention Center (201 Viger Avenue West) located across the street from the hotel.
