The 34th International Carnahan Conference on Security Technology was held October 22-26, 2000 in Ottawa, Canada.

Ottawa, the capital city of Canada, is located about two hours drive west of Montreal and about 5 hours east of Toronto. In addition to being the nation’s capital, Ottawa is known as Canada’s “silicon valley north”, a major international center of high tech development.

Mr. Gerry Levett was the Conference Chairman in Ottawa in 2000. In this role, Gerry was assisted by a very experienced conference organizing committee and he was responsible for the overall program from initial planning through to implementation.

The Conference Carnahan was held in the downstairs conference rooms at the Lord Elgin Hotel, which is located right in the center of downtown Ottawa – just across the street from the National Arts center and a short walk to the Parliament buildings as well as to many of the other hotels, restaurants and other attractions located downtown.
