On the afternoon of February 8th, Mr. Zeng Bo, who had just returned from a visit to the United States, met with more than 20 students and shared his knowledge and thoughts on his academic life in the United States for a year. On September 25, 2018, 12 members of the IAS North China, Electric Power University Student Chapter visited Beijing Bytes Bounce Co., Ltd. and MOMENTA Company, and participated in expert lectures from the two companies. Byte Beat Company arranged for Zhou Hao, an expert in its AI Lab department, to introduce us to the company’s development status and AI cutting-edge technology. On December 22, 2018, in order to promote mutual understanding between members and enhance team awareness, we organized a quality development activity. We traveled to a trampoline main park in Beijing to train members’ positive attitudes and teamwork spirit through unique and thoughtful, challenging and fun outdoor activities, to cultivate good team spirit and positive attitude towards life. We were honored to have Professor Wei-Jen Lee with us. On October 10-22, 2018, North China Electric Power University held the 2nd IEEE Conference on Energy Internet and Energy System Integration (IEEE EI2 2018). We participated in the conference volunteer activities. Through participation in volunteer activities, the influence and popularity of IAS North China Electric Power University Student Branch was enhanced. Members contributed themselves to volunteer work, enriched their life experiences, participated in meaningful work and activities, and further increased the cohesiveness of the association.
At the beginning of the new semester on September 25, 2018, we made preliminary plans for the work that needed to be carried out this semester, and formulated plans for the lecture activities and quality development activity to be organized, so as to strive to make the work of the association better in the new semester. On May 27, 2018, our chapter held a large-scale academic board game competition called “Inline”. The competition was very large, with more than 100 players participating in the competition. The staff involved all grades from undergraduate to doctoral.
