Budapest Waste-to-Energy Plant

As the first event of the József Stoczek Memorial Semester, the Student Association of Energy organized a site visit to the Budapest Waste-to-Energy Plant, called Fővárosi Hulladékhasznosító Mű in Hungarian which is owned by the FKF Nonprofit Zrt.

The group of 30 university students, lecturers and other inquiring members from the energy industry was guided by Krisztina Weimann-Szabó.

First, the visitors were given a general presentation about the incineration technology, process , and special boilers. Employees mentioned the first thoughts about the progress of energy production, the waste recycling and incineration steps, motivations, the challenges of fulfilling the targets of the European Union.
