The Industrial Week is an event organized by student associations from the Faculty of Chemistry at the National University of Asuncion. In 2019, IAS Chapter from Student Branch at UNA was invited to collaborate in the organization.
This event is meant to approach students to young professionals currently working in industries and to share their knowledge, experience, advice and how to manage time. The talks were carried simultaneously in 4 stages and were performed on October 24th and 25th, at block C of said faculty.
IAS (SBC) was in charge of three different talks.
The first being a small workshop of two hours from 6 to 8 pm on October 24th, the engineer Elvio Hermosilla gave a workshop about Business Model Canvas (BMC). Business Model Canvas is strategic management and lean startup template for developing new or documenting existing business models.
On the second day of the event, October 25th, we had the two closing talks.
At 6 pm, Engineer Gabriel González Morra took the word and presented the “Operational Excellence Workshop – Lean Management System”. Lean management is an approach to managing an organization that supports the concept of continuous improvement, a long-term approach to work that systematically seeks to achieve small, incremental changes in processes in order to improve efficiency and quality.
It is important to mention that students from all units from the university participated in these talks and workshops.
For closure, Engineer Enzo Pusineri presented “Leadership and Emotional Intelligence Workshop in Industrial Management” to give advice to young students who are planning to involve in the industry once they become professionals.
