2017 IAS Annual Meeting in Cincinnati, OH.

Over more than a half-century, the IAS Annual meeting has established a long tradition as an international forum for practicing engineers, researchers, students and technical experts to present and discuss the latest developments in the application of electrical technology covering fields such as automation, control, electrostatics, mining, metals, and standards for electrical installations.

It was a long trip from Tunisia, Frankfurt-Germany, Newark, then Cincinnati-OH, But worth it.

As IEEE IAS ENIM Student Branch chapter took a part of this big technical society by showcasing its benefits, vision, and sustainability nationally and internally, IAS ENIM SBC was presented by 4 IAS members and officers, Mr.Alaa ABDALLAH the Student Branch chair, Mr.Houssem jawani the IAS chapter chair, and two IAS members Mrs.Oumayma Ben Amira and Mr.Ahmed Rajeb.
It was our 4th IAS Annual meeting participation, during which we have enjoyed the technical sessions, the networking opportunities, and the idea exchanges with the IAS board.

During the poster session, our chapter had the opportunity to showcase its activities and achievements among the IAS Executive Board members and other attendees.

One of the special poster visitors was Mr. James Mercier, the ideas exchange with Mr. James was pretty amazing. We have appreciated his pieces of advice, and certainly, there will be an improvement regarding our IAS activities.

We have celebrated the IEEE day during the IAS conference between the IAS and the PELS Boards.

This conference was a great experience. During my presentation, I discussed my team’s work face-to-face with well-known researchers and received valuable feedback from them, which I then integrated into my next conference paper.

I had the opportunity to network with researchers in the electrical engineering field as well as with experts of other disciplines. I brought back helpful brochures and information from the conference for my colleagues and our Student Branch members.

The gala dinner was a great opportunity to network and get in touch with IAS & PELS participants and board members.

The multi-culture performance:

At the end of the show, a competition takes place, and our Tunisian team won the CMD clothing price.
