The Alabama Regional Future City Competition (ARFCC) will be held on Saturday, January 14^th 2017 at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center’s – Davidson Center for Space Exploration in Huntsville, Alabama.  This will be our 14^th year hosting the Alabama Regional event and the 25^th anniversary for the Future City Nationals in Washington, D.C.  We will have the largest participation ever this year with 32 schools already registered!  Of course, we all know that more team participation means we will need MORE JUDGES!  That means we need YOU!

Call for Judges, Engineer Mentors, and Volunteers for the 2015 Future City Competition – The Alabama Regional Future City Competition is a state-wide, project-based learning experience where students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade imagine, design, and build cities of the future. Students work as a team with an educator and engineer mentor to plan cities using SimCity™ software; research and write solutions to an engineering problem; build tabletop scale models with recycled materials; and present their ideas before judges and other local attendees.  This competition has grown to 38 regions across the nation.
