Congratualtions Bradley Updyke – Young Engineer of the Year 2019
On Monday, February 18, 2019, Bradley Updyke received the IEEE Young Engineer of the Year 2019 award. This award is given every year to an outstanding Houston Section Young Professional member during the Houston Engineers Week.
Members of the Houston Section joined Bradley and his spouse in a Casino Night before the awards ceremony. Bradley was recognized along with other Greater Houston Area engineers of 17 professional societies.
About Bradley Updyke, PE
Bradley Updyke, PE. is a project engineer at Telios. In his career to date, he has provided electrical design and engineering on many real estate projects ranging from small office renovations to new educational campuses in Texas and across the United States. In addition to educational facilities, Bradley has worked on electrical utilities, healthcare facilities, and commercial office development. Bradley earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. He earned his PE license in 2018. Bradley’s involvement in IEEE began while still a college student; he has been an active member of the IEEE Houston Section since 2014 and has served on the board as social media chair since that time. He has also been an active volunteer and received the IEEE Volunteer Appreciation award in both 2014 and 2015. While in college, Bradley received the Engineering Student of the Year award from the Florida Engineering Society (“FES”) Tampa chapter. Outside of work, Bradley enjoys snowboarding, traveling, and spending time with his wife and their dogs.
