Brief Biography:

I am Marios Antonakakis, Electrical and Computer Engineer (Dipl. – 2012) as well as Biomedical Engineer (M.Sc. – 2015) Technical University of Crete, Greece, (Ph.D. – 2021) Technical University of Ilmenau, Germany. I have ten years of experience in the analysis of biomedical signals and images acquired from the human brain using non-invasive modalities such as electro- and magnetoencephalography, magnetic resonance imaging, and transcranial brain stimulation. During this period, I have collected two young investigation awards, a number of scholarships (Greek or European), and publications. These are the results of systematic and passionate research work. This work is focused on the development of tools appropriate for the diagnosis of brain disorders such as mild Traumatic Brain Injuries, Epilepsy, or Dyslexia. For this purpose, I have mainly intended the development of advanced image and signal procedures to achieve high temporal and spatial accuracy on group discrimination and abnormal brain source activity localisation and suppression.
