Brief Biography:

Kostas is an Information Technology professional with more than 30 years’ experience. He studied Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and granted a PhD on Distributed Computing Systems from the same university in 1995. He started his first company in 1991 in the area of software development, while still at the university. In 1997, he started working as an independent freelancer in Brussels, Belgium, participating in projects in various organisations, such as Mastercard International, ING, Base, FICS, the European Parliament and the European Commission. During the same year, he founds Upcom Bvba, the first of the companies of the later Upcom group. In 2007, back in Greece, he founds Upcom Ltd and later in 2012, Upcom Cyprus Ltd, all trying to help organisations across Europe to become competitive using Information Technology. Today, the Upcom group of companies employs more than 130 persons and more than 10 freelancers.
