IEEE CASS DLP event in Thessaloniki, Dr. Hai “Helen” Li, October 9, 2018

Dr. Hai “Helen” Li, Associate Professor at Duke University, North Carolina, USA, gave a lecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at: 12:00, in the Amphitheater I of KEDEA, entitled “Deep Learning and Neuromorphic Computing – Technology, Hardware and Implementation”. The lecture was in the frame of the Distinguished Lecturers Program (DLP) of IEEE CAS Society. The event was very successful with many participants from the Departments of Physics and Electrical and Computer Engineering. Master’s and PhD students also attended. The audience enjoyed the lecture and there was a long discussion through questions and answers after the presentation. The lecture was live-broadcasted through internet for those who could not follow it locally. Students from another University in Greece have followed the lecture through internet and they have already expressed their interest for further communication with Dr. Li. The presentation was recorded, and it is available on request.

The visit also included meetings with professors from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Physics, during which Dr. Li had fruitful discussions on research topics of mutual interest. Finally, a social event had been organized.
