Lecture of Prof. Evangellos Gazis, March 15, 2018, at 17:00

The lecture by Prof. Gazis was very interesting and comprehensive, presenting the recent achievements of the experiments ATLAS, ALICE, and LHCb at CERN. He also described the new trends in accelerator technology at CERN and underlined the necessary synergy of all the technological sciences required to develop the measuring equipment for the post- Bozon Higgs era. Furthermore, the opportunities for the students for internship and doing diploma thesis or research project at CERN were mentioned.

The participants were about 30 and the discussion after the lecture lasted for about an hour, proving the interest of the audience in the presented topics.
