Chapter Awards

Each year, the Green Mountain Chapter selects three members to receive the distinction of:

  • Outstanding Engineer Award
  • Young Outstanding Engineer Award
  • Outstanding Volunteer Award

The Outstanding Engineer Award was established in 1994 by the PES Executive Board to recognize outstanding technical, professional and society contributions on behalf of the power engineer profession. The IEEE PES Outstanding Engineer Award program allows each PES Chapter the opportunity to recognize the outstanding contribution of local engineers to the power engineering profession.

The Outstanding Engineer award is given in two categories of experience: less than 15 years of experience and greater than 15 years of experience (in Power/Energy). All nominees must be active members of IEEE and the Power and Energy Society and be affiliated with the IEEE PES Green Mountain Chapter. Please think to recognize someone who you have seen to provide outstanding contribution to our state, power industry or our PES chapter.

The Outstanding Volunteer Award allows each PES Chapter the opportunity to recognize the outstanding contribution of PES volunteers for outstanding engagement in the PES Green Mountain Chapter programs.
