# IGARSS 2019
We are looking forward to see you at IGARSS 2019, in Yokohama, Japan, at the end of the month!
There will be several IADF-related activities:
FD-3 – Machine Learning in Remote Sensing – Best practices and recent solutions
On Sunday, Ronny and I, along with Yuliya Tarabalka and Devis Tuia, will give a full day tutorial on machine learning in remote sensing. Beyond the black box of the deep learning trend, we will cover and explain machine
learning mechanisms, from random forests to neural networks, the maths behind, and good practices for setting up a machine learning project.
