On 4th of October the IEEE Finland was celebrating the 40th Anniversary. IEEE Finland invited all the Finnish members to participate in the event held in Hotel Hilton Strand in Helsinki. The celebrations were a part of the IEEE International Conference on Ubiquitous Positioning, Indoor Navigation and Location-Based Service. During the event prominent members of IEEE Finland gave speeches related to IEEE Finland, advancing technologies and the role of IEEE in advancing technology to humanity. Importantly, three distinguish life members of IEEE Finland (Martti Tiuri, Heikki Ihantola and Ahti Aintila) celebrated in this year the 50 years of their membership. Finnish Section had a pleasure to recognize that significant achievement and gave diplomas to participating members.
