IEEE, pronounced “Eye-triple-E,” stands for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. The association is chartered under this name and it is the full legal name. To learn more about the association’s name, please read the History of IEEE.

The Erie Section of IEEE is part of Region 2 and covers the area of Northwest Pennsylvania.  Executive committee (Excomm) meetings are often held at the Spiteri Center, located on the 3rd floor of the Zurn Science Center on the campus of Gannon University at 143 W. 7th (btw Peach & Sassafras), Erie, PA, or at the Behrend College of the Pennsylvania State University, Erie, PA.
