IEEE emeritbadges STEM Project
The IEEE emeritbadges.org STEM program has developed hands-on electricity and electronics instructional material based on the Boy Scouts’ merit badge requirements. Any student, boy or girl can use the program to enhance technical literacy and learn more about viable engineering and other technical career options. The IEEE emeritbadges.org STEM program sponsored the Electricity Merit Badge and the Electronics Merit Badge booth at the 2017 National Scout Jamboree.
Over 40,000 youth and staff were expected at the Jamboree held at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in Glen Jean, WV. The event was adjacent to the beautiful New River Gorge. Contact Ralph W. Russell, II – Chair of the IEEE emeritbadges STEM Project at emeritbadges@ieee.org to volunteer for future Jamborees and emeritbadges.org activities.
