IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society Dallas Chapter (Dallas-EMBS) and The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) will present the 2012 IEEE Texas Medical Device Symposium, in collaboration with The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW). This symposium includes distinguished speakers from the medical device industry, academia, clinical practice, and public sector, and a student poster session. The event is open to public.

Goals

  • Provide a forum to bring together medical device designers, researchers, manufacturers, surgeons and public sectors to share perspectives, innovations, and cutting-edge technologies in medical device research and development
  • Showcase the regional research institutes and manufacturers in the medical device community
  • Foster the next generation leaders, engineers, and innovators in biomedical field
