Abstract: oneAPI is a solution to deliver unified programming model to simplify development across diverse architectures. It includes a unified and simplified language and libraries for expressing parallelism and delivers uncompromising native high-level language performance across a range of hardware including CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs.
In this talk we introduce you to oneAPI and
- Explain how oneAPI can solve the challenges of programming in a heterogeneous world.
- Understand the Data Parallel C++ (DPC++) language and oneAPI programming model.
- You will get Introduced to Unified shared memory that is part of DPC++ new features.
- Onboard to Intel® DevCloud to test-drive oneAPI tools and libraries.
- Get familiarization on how to use Jupyter notebooks on Intel DevCloud for hands on training through simple DPC++ code examples
BIO: Praveen Kundurthy is a Developer Evangelist at Intel with over 15 years of experience in software development, optimization on Intel platforms. In his current role, he works with universities and developers in evangelizing and helping them understand oneAPI concepts. He got expertise in C++, C#, Python programing languages and over the past few years at Intel, he has worked on topics spanning Artificial Intelligence, Storage technologies, Gaming, Virtual reality and Android. Praveen has a master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Mississippi State University.
