TOPIC: Responsible and Ethical AI for Business
Brief Description: While we continue to be wowed and overawed (almost on a daily basis) by the latest developments in generative AI, the crucial discussions on responsible and ethical AI often receive mere lip service or are overlooked entirely. The tech industry predominantly focuses on what is technologically feasible, sometimes neglecting the critically important ethical considerations like transparency, fairness, privacy, and data ownership.
In this presentation, Dr. Muthusamy will explore the essential role of AI governance frameworks in guiding responsible and ethical AI development. He will discuss how organizations can effectively navigate the complex landscape of intellectual property rights; an area increasingly subject to legal challenges. In addition, he will examine the potential of blockchain technology to establish robust guardrails, enhance transparency, and monetize data ownership in generative AI applications.
Bio: Dr. Yeshwant Muthusamy is an accomplished technologist with six patents, 30+ publications, and leadership roles at global innovators like Toyota Motors North America, Toyota Connected, Samsung Research America, and Texas Instruments.
Dr. Muthusamy’s background is in Computer Science and Engineering. He has over 29 years of experience in areas such as AI, NLP, speech recognition, IoT, haptics, and AR/VR. He has a working knowledge of the Blockchain and has briefly used Hyperledger Fabric.
