The Active Shooter Response Training builds on 24HourDallas’ Good Neighbor Initiative (GNI), started in December 2021, in collaboration with the City of Dallas. The GNI is a comprehensive, community-based program that aims to create safer nights out and borrows from the evidence-based, effective Safe Night LLC program.  This program is designed to save lives.

BIO:  Senior Corporal Brooks is a member of The North Central (NPO) Team. The Dallas Police Department recognizes the importance of involving the community to help combat crime and increase the quality of police service through partnership. The core of partnership is communication, cooperation, and education. Citizens involved in activities such as crime watch groups and city programs help support the overall effectiveness of the Dallas Police Department. Neighborhood Police Officers (NPOs) of the Dallas Police Department will support all citizens involved in crime prevention, crime watch groups, and other volunteer programs.
