Abstract:
The FirstNet mission is to deploy, operate, maintain, and improve the first high-speed, nationwide wireless broadband network dedicated to public safety. This reliable, highly secure, interoperable, and innovative public safety communications platform will bring 21st century tools to public safety agencies and first responders, allowing them to get more information quickly and helping them to make faster and better decisions.
The presentation will discuss how FirstNet originated, the deployment plan, security, Local Control, FirstNet Eligibility (Who can use FirstNet), deployables, what devices can be used and pricing.

Bio:
Nicholas Cassioppi, The FirstNet Applications and Solutions Principal Consultant, is responsible for driving sales and education on FirstNet development and Deployment. He has been with AT&T- FirstNet for over 2 years where he supports the Central Texas – Capital Region in 17 counties. He is also a part of the FirstNet Disaster Response Team. His previous work was over 13 years with Motorola Solutions Inc, where he covered Central and South Texas supporting Government and Public Safety Radio P25 systems through Multi- Million Dollar lifecycle maintenance and support contracts. (DPS, TXDOT, City of AUSTIN and many more agencies and departments across the State).
Known as a leader with a flair for sales, Nick has deep experience in sales and sales operations. He has a demonstrated history of working in the telecommunications industry. Skilled in Software as a Service (SaaS), Direct Sales, Network Design, Business Development, and Cross – Functional Team Leadership. He has focused on working with sales teams for numerous sales channels including AT&T Retail, Local Authorized Retailers, National Retail, Direct Account Managers, Radio Access Network Team and Engineering.
Nick has also achieved his Green Belt Six Sigma Certification and 2 Galvin Masters Awards while at Motorola. He has also been FEMA certified for the AT&T FirstNet Natural Disaster Response Operations Group where I am able to support and coordinate with the STATE and local agencies with Communication Services and Devices during an event.
He is a strong consulting professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Management and Marketing Minors from Western Illinois University.
While Nick grew up and has lived in many cities in Illinois, He moved to Austin, TX to join the Motorola team in 2006. He has been living in Austin ever since and has an 8 year old by named Lucas who enjoys playing sports ( mostly football) and being active.
