IEEE PES Columbus Chapter organized the online webinar last September. The title of the webinar event was “Application of power system voltage stability concept” and it discusses mainly on the calculation of a triangle voltage stability index (TVSI) for monitored alternating-current EHV circuits using voltage data from a PSSE load flow study. TVSI also provides an indication of the closeness of the load voltage to a potential voltage collapse. This was presented by Michael Richardson, staff engineer from Transmission Operations engineering department. There were about 40 participants from various engineering fields. The event also provided 1 credit hour PDH for those who needed continuing education hours. The event was successfully and appreciated by all audiences.
