October 2019 – IEEE PES and OSU Collaboration Event: Electric Utility of the Future

It was a very successful event at OSU campus on Oct. 30th with about 30 attendees including a few OSU students. This novel type of seminar was composed of four different presentations, which together convey the concept of the utility of the future from perspectives of safety, resilience, efficiency, and smartness. Appreciate the sponsorship of AEP Make A Difference Grant!!

The electric utility of the future should be safe, resilient, efficient and smart. Therefore, this event is composed of four corresponding inspiring presentations including arc flash analysis, electric grid resilience, integrated design & construction and EV impacts to grid. In addition, networking and open discussions are encouraged. Please join this great event to share and discuss your knowledge & visions of the electric utility of the future.

Undergraduate and graduate students from OSU or other colleges are very welcome to join this event to learn the latest technologies and have the opportunity to know the changing & growing electric utilities.

Food (other than pizza) is provided and one PDH is available for the needed attendees. Please note that parking at OSU campus (there are multiple nearby parking lots/garages) requires parking fee ($2-$4 per hour), which will be on your own. Look forward to seeing you at OSU!
