January 2019 – Q&A with the Women Who Power Our World

Thanks all the panelists (Hellen, Annie, Kristen and Mary) and especially Dr. Gonul Kaletunc from The Ohio State University, who gave us a wonderful presentation. As what had been discussed, we are expecting and welcoming more and more women engineers to join and find their values in our industry.

Engineering Empowerment: Q&A with the Women Who Power Our World

Electricity and electronics are the backbone of modern society. However, electrical engineering has one of the lowest proportions of bachelor’s degrees awarded to women– less than 13% annually– with even fewer women staying in industry after five years. Why do so few women succeed in the field? And what can we learn from these engineering elite? A panel of these powerful ladies will share with us their stories.

Join the Columbus sections of the Power and Energy Society (PES) and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) for snacking, networking, and discussion. All are welcome. Please RSVP.
