Welcome to the IEEE PES Columbus Chapter Website!
On June 24th, PES Columbus Chapter hosted a webinar presented by Prof. Saifur Rahman from Virginia Tech, the Past PES President 2018-2019. Prof. Rahman presented the roles of smart grids in facilitating the integration of renewables. A number of good questions were asked by the audience and answered in details by Prof. Rahman. This new type of event (online webinars) has been proven very efficient and more webinars will come in the near future.
Please also note that Prof. Rahman is running his election for IEEE President-Elect since 2021. Please visit his website, www.srahman.org, for more information. You may be interested to know that the last time a PES President became IEEE President was in 1978. PES being the second largest IEEE society should do better.
