Welcome to the IEEE PES Columbus Chapter website. The Columbus Chapter of the Power and Energy Society consists of more than 200 members representing the electric utility industry, academia, and various other companies, in and around the Central Ohio region, all with a common professional interest in electric power and energy. Our chapter provides high-quality technical content through webinars, in-person events, meetings, industry tours, visits, and specialized courses to our members and non-members alike. We also offer CEU/PDH for all our webinars and events for the benefit of the attendees. Our chapter honors exceptional engineers with the Outstanding Engineer, Young Engineer, and Outstanding Volunteer Award.
Our technical sessions are free and open to anyone who wants to attend. We are always looking for potential speakers for our Technical Meetings. If you are interested in presenting at one of our monthly technical meetings (currently remote) on a topic related to Power and Energy Systems, please get in touch with us or any member of our chapter officers.
In recent history, our Chapter has been recognized multiple times as the IEEE PES Outstanding Chapter Award in Region 2. Our success has been a direct result of the hard work of our members, who take time from their busy schedules to volunteer and support our Chapter. We are always looking for new volunteers to serve on technical, education, web publicity, and student chapter sub-committees which are the key to the success of our chapter activities.
