Lunch Meeting: Voltage Balancing and Power Quality

This free presentation is intended to provide attendees with an overview of power quality issues in electronics applications with an emphasis on voltage imbalance. The presentation will begin with identifying the effects of power quality and diagnostic evaluations. The presentation will draw on industry applications to provide case studies for power quality issues. The presentation will also feature equipment applications to correct voltage imbalance and other power quality issues. The overview will be brought together by demonstrating the expanding field of power quality monitoring applications across networks.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Michael McClelland is a well-rounded technical expert in the emerging field of Military Power Quality. His career work has culminated in the award of a Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Medal for Automatic Test Equipment power systems reliability improvement. He has over 40 years of experience across his extensive work with the US Navy, Civil Service, and DOD systems contracting. He is currently an active pioneer in the field of Power Quality servicing Naval and Marine Corps sites. He provides specialized technical expertise to solve long standing sensitive electronic systems failures aboard CV, CVN, DDG, FFG, LHD, and LHA class vessels as well as various USMC and Navy shore sites, both in CONUS and overseas. He has also provided specialized services for aviation power systems, shipboard power generation and distribution, and shore facility power related issues.
